Do you remember this photo from my craft room???
And those “t” cards in the basket?
I needed invites for the twins’ 2 y.o. bday bash.
I love stationary. I love all those cute fancy custom invites & cards, but they break my wallet.
I had a brain storm last week…
So I came up with a simple plan using my scraps:
Not too bad for a .99 cent pack of 8 Michael’s Craft Store cards & scraps – no?
{The “Cute As A Bug” stickers are from here. I ordered these to go along with the rest of the party theme, which I promise, that post is coming soon.}
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Now… onto the custom tees out of scrap fabric:
I made my pattern – I guess you can tell, huh? That “2″ gave me some “issues”.
Thank goodness for a rotary cutter & mat that Chief ran out to buy for me. Made the entire prepping for the party sooooo much easier. I can’t believe I lived {AHEM} 40 years of my life & never had these 2 tools before now. I’ve been missing out!
All with the power of fabric glue. I highly recommend using alot however, especially around the corners.
I even used the fabric glue for the boy’s hankies coming out of their pockets. Squeals.
I.just.love. how they turned out.
All 3 shirts from Target @ $5.00 each.
had on hand scraps of fabric & ric rac
Total for 3 custom party tees ~ $15.00 + time.
Love that kind of a deal!
