FALL FESTIVAL week 3!!!

Can ya believe it ~ week 3 in September?  Kind of scary how time is flying by!

Can't wait to see what you all have been up to!

Now to show you what I've been up to:

This week, I decided to whip up something in the kitchen for Fall Festival.

Something with a little bit of.....

As in -

PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFINS

Ingredients:

1 and 2/3 cup of all purpose flour

1 cup of sugar

1 tablespoon of pumpkin spice

1 teaspoon of baking soda

1 teaspoon of baking powder

mix all of the above into one bowl

2 large eggs

1 cup of plain pumpkin (Libby's or something similar)

1/2 cup of melted butter

1 cup of milk chocolate chips

mix this part into another bowl

Then mix both bowls together and spoon into muffin pan.

Bake on 350 degrees for 30 minutes

 

truth be told, this is a hand-me-down recipe from my Auntie Janee's. My cousin, Maegan's mom.  It's tradition that I usually make these the first day of Fall, but I thought it only fitting for these muffins to appear one of the weeks of Fall Festival.

 

 

They are divine.  The smell of these baking is sent straight from the pearly gates!  I tell ya!

 

But, this year I decided to turn it up a few notches.  I was inspired by Cakies post & thought I would join the bandwagon of bloggers & mimic her with these muffins.

Just think, cream cheese frosting on a pumpkin chocolate muffin.
