You may have guessed, that with this late post, probably means that my week has not gone so “hot” for homemade meals. We started off with a bang. But it has gone waaaay down hill from there. But, to continue what I started, here’s what was on the stove or has been in the oven this week:
Homemade Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn & green beans. (my recipe)
Ina’s Orzo with roasted vegetables. I made this with what I got at the market. So yummy. What was left over of the vegetables, I placed in a blender & made a puree of vegetable soup.
Now, I should also mention that this evening the kids & I had apple pie & peanut butter -n- jelly sandwiches. 🙂 Somedays, are just like that around here. But, starting tomorrow, I will be making a huge pot of chili & some homemade Tex-Mex cornbread. For our Block Party. I’ll have to share those recipes with you in a later post. Hopefully, next week I’ll be more dedicated to our homemade meals. Perhaps, I’ll even try to make this scrumptious looking soup! Sounds & looks perfect for a Fall rainy day!
