“Gobbling” for Goodwill, garage sales & some other great ideas

August 25, 2010 by Kellie

Oh YES I did!
From Goodwill!  Go ahead & hate me.
I about fell over.  They were just putting this “Tom” out.  I about died.  I never have this sort of luck.
I’ve wanted one of these for like EVER!  Thank to W&S.
Some of you may *get* this, others will think I am completely crazy.  But when Williams Sonoma does their store set & windows for Thanksgiving, & places their Turkey platter every year in the window, I get weak in the knees.  Then when I walk in the store itself & see & smell all things Thanksgiving it’s like I hear Handel’s Messiah, “Hallelujah”  playing in my ears as loud as it can.
Thanksgiving at Williams & Sonoma is a religious experience for me.
Guess how much I paid for my “Tom”….???
$6.99.  I’m crushing over him!
Speaking of Williams Sonoma {Home}….
have you seen their gorgeous hurricane~
this idea is sweeping blogland, & you can bet your DOLLAR STORE DOLLAR that I am jumping on this band wagon!
All by use of a little gorilla glue!!!  (the center & left candlestick holder 2 for .69 @ Goodwill 😉
I originally saw the idea on  Thrifty Decor Chick who was showing off Emily.
This morning Dreamy Nest posted about her hurricanes as well.
The main thing is…YOU CAN”T GO WRONG WITH THIS IDEA!  It’s too good not to do!
I’m thinking… eyeball candy for Halloween
Acorns from our tree
of course ball ornaments for Christmas.  Endless possibilities!
are you ready to hate me even more???
{I don’t know what happened this morning, but  needless to say I  feel like I should play the lottery today!}
on our way home there was a garage sale.  Yes, on a Wednesday.

$3.00 dollars for my loot.
3 gorgeous mason jars, the dirt was a bonus ;).  2 of the jars are etched with a gorgeous design. The other has a handle built around the glass jar itself. {LOVE}
wooden display cubby unit. (I’m thinking for my beginner stamp collection ~or~ for the boy’s car collection.
2 LARGE locker bin style baskets – I may totally & completely copying what Beth did to her pantry & use  these for mine.  That is, once I find out what Beth is “on” to do all her amazing projects. 😉

Isn’t it amazing???  To see her entire post about the pantry visit The Stories of A2Z!  It is so inspiring.
Anyone else finding some great cheap deals or great inspiration out there?
Do tell, I don’t want my roll to end!
Hello! I’m so glad you’re here & reading my posts! I’ve started truncating my posts, so please click over to read the rest of the story!
