literature, quotes, goofs & various topics

February 10, 2011 by Kellie

Hello Lovelies!
I thought I would share a custom order I just finished.
I’m literally squinting my eyes & hoping I’m not ruining a surprise gift, by posting this so soon.
You know…I did that during Christmas – twice!!!
I opened my big mouth in December, to 2 different people about almost having their bag done & they replied:
“What bag?”
When I heard/read those 2 words – I found myself squinting my eyes & shaking my head saying,
“Kellie, you & your big mouth.  Take this as a lesson.”
Of course, I did the very same thing the following week & found myself again saying,
“Kellie, WHEN will you ever learn?”
…………………………………………………………………….
Anyways, my head is spinning full of ideas, some for the blog/etsy shop & some for the house.
I think this weekend I may even have a survey on the ‘ole blog asking for your honest opinions. Because I love honesty, surveys & statistics.  Call me a nerd.  Even though, I hated statistics in college.
And…just so you know, this may not be the only time you hear from me today, I have a good pot of soup simmering on the stove & I might just be posting the recipe this evening if it tastes have way decent.
In the meantime, I’ll leave you with what’s been popping in my head for the past 3 days on what to do with my walls.  Even though, I’ve had this picture stored for at least a year now…brace yourselves…it’s plain old boring white.
But I’m seriously considering plain old boring white.  Because I think I’m ready for a color change.
Shhh, don’t tell my husband.  He will D.I.E.
He’s not good with change.  It has to be tip-toed into a conversation about 10 times, before I can just come out & ask him. 😉
Anyone else have to do this?
I love everything about this room.  Not that my house would turn out to look anything like this, but a girl can dream.
P.S.  I decided to totally market my customer’s idea & so I listed the bag as an example of what I can do in my etsy shop ~ Bag Full of Posies.  I can design your favorite Bible verse, personal quote or an excerpt from a favorite book.  Just convo me.
See you soon.

That room is to die for! I love everything about it, too, especially the floors and walls. Also love the bag idea. That will be a big seller, I’m guessing. Good luck with it.

This is how I handle it, my husband comes in and I am painting the walls, “Oh, your painting again?”, me, “Yep”…end of conversation! 🙂

Love the bags your creating, I am sure you will sell tons!

I suggested a color change to my husband the other day, in the context of “maybe sometime later in the spring or summer”. He told me that he is not moving the TV and TV stand, or computer and desk (which are on two opposite walls), and that I can only paint what I can reach. 🙁 Guess I’m sticking with my teal lol

I love that bag! Each bag you come up with is better and better.

I guess I’m super blessed! My husband will gladly go with my ideas and even jump in to say, “Why don’t I put crown moulding in here for you, or don’t you think wainscoting would look great with the pale blue walls you want to do!” We’re celebrating our 50th anniversary in July and I’m doing a photo album for him. I’ve taken pictures of 20 pieces of furniture in our house that he has made for me. He’s one in a million and I’m so glad I was smart enough to marry him! By the way, I love that room too and the contrast in the white walls and dark floors is very peaceful and comforting to me. I have to share something cute though – I was looking through a magazine the other day and a page fell open to a beautiful room. He walked by and said, “Oh no, is that another project for me?”

I love that quote! It is something I believe is true for the most part. Thank goodness there is the People’s History of the United States, a book that tells an accurate and detailed history of the U.S., the bad, the good, and the ugly. 🙂

I favorited your Etsy shop today. I read your blog avidly, so I figured I should favorite your Etsy shop! 🙂
