Christmas Open House

December 12, 2011 by Kellie

This post is a collection of pics throughout the past couple of weeks via Instagram.  I thought I would switch my annual Open House post up this year to share more of casual candids.   Because in a pinterest world, it’s sometimes (at least to me) refreshing to see normal.  Yes, I love all the fluff & puff of fru fru pics, but I also love seeing real homes functioning in real life.

So come on in & have a look around.

Our front porch/curb appeal project is still underway, but we’ve got our mustard yellow door up.  I couldn’t be more thrilled with it.

Believe it or not, we just trimmed our tree this weekend.  I’ll blame it on the shop & all those posies.  But you know the Christmas song that states, “..but the prettiest sight you’ll see is the holly that will be on your own front door?”  I really do believe it.  Yes, I drool over other houses & decorations, but there’s nothing like seeing your very own tree.  With your very own ornaments & decor up.  It is the prettiest.

The wonder of it all…
G’s room & all his fabulous artwork.  I am a sucker for kindergarten craft projects.  They are the best.

The twins room.  Finally found a good mix for a boy & girl combo.  It is not easy, you know.
And finally after we have finished most of our decorating, I’ll be concentrating on wrapping for the next week.  You can find the chevron & ikat free printable gift tags by going here.

I appreciate the candid photos. 🙂 If only my home & life could look like my pinterest boards. 😉 Your house looks wonderful and I really think every owl should have a bowtie.
