Christmas Party Tablescape {ideas for kids}

December 5, 2011 by Kellie

I’m cheating again, I’m reposting this from July.  We did a Christmas in July birthday party for the twins, if you weren’t around back then or you happened to miss it.
So just call me cheater cheater – peppermint eater.  😉
But obviously I thought I would re-post this for table setting or child’s party throwing ideas for Christmas.  Everything was handmade or repurposed, and all of it was from my Christmas decor stash from last year.  I did not buy anything new.
Christmas Party Ideas for Kids! Including craft and recipe ideas the kids can help make on Christmas break.

The scrapbook paper loop trees are from my Christmas mantel last year.  I was so glad to bring those back out for the party.  I missed them.  Really.
I got the idea for these snowmen & milk bottles from Pinterest via Bakerella.  I wouldn’t even compare my little guys to her adorable creations, but I still got tickled just making their faces.  Such a clever idea.  I used icing writing pens & these bottles to hold the milk.  Pure cuteness.
The snowflakes are from the dollar store last year.  I bought 2 packs & never used them.  Thank goodness I tend to hoard things. 😉  The poinsettia wreath was also a creation from last Christmas.  I love how it looks against my aqua walls as a fun contrast.
This was one of the funnest parties I’ve ever thrown (decor wise) it was all so bright & cheery.  Plus in the middle of Summer it was a welcome change of scenery & an afternoon dreaming of Christmas in July.

    Yours is the first place I visited from Layla’s! That aqua and red cuteness grabbed my attention immediately! I love it-maybe because I use that color scheme in my home or maybe just because you have mad skills! Your picture did reassure me that I could successfully add pops of green with those colors! So cute!

    I love those colors! Now I really want to buy a house so I can paint my walls aqua. I need an aqua and red room!

    (p.s. aren’t all crafters hoarders? I certainly am!)

    Adorable. I love red and aqua together. Would you mind sharing the name of your aqua wall paint color? It is the most beautiful shade I’ve ever seen. Is it Ben. Moore or SW? Thanks in advance. Beth
