That’s What I Love about Sundaes + a giveaway!

October 15, 2014 by Kellie

If you’re a country music fan, this will hopefully all tie in together.  If not, I apologize.

I’ll probably appear to be rambling. but that’s the beauty of a country song.  Because there’s always a story to be told.

So just focus on the Pumpkin Pie Coffee Sundae picture and follow along if you’d like or you can just scroll down to the bottom of this post and enter the giveaway.

Pumpkin Pie Coffee Sundae = made in minutes!

Every time I hear Craig Morgan’s song That’s What I Love about Sunday – it brings back a flood of memories.

…That’s what I love about Sunday:
Sing along as the choir sways;
Every verse of Amazin’ Grace,
An’ then we shake the Preacher’s hand.
Go home, into your blue jeans;
Have some chicken an’ some baked beans.
Pick a back yard football team,
Not do much of anything:
That’s what I love about Sunday.

I stroll to the end of the drive,
Pick up the Sunday Times, grab my coffee cup.
It looks like Sally an’ Ron, finally tied the knot,
Well, it’s about time.
It’s 35 cents off a ground round,
Baby, cut that coupon out!

 That’s what I love about Sunday

My Sundays growing up were very similar to this song.  All the way down to the chicken an’ some baked beans, and stroll to the end of the drive, grab the Sunday Times, grab a coffee cup.

But in that coffee cup, my Mom and I would put ice cream and make up crazy flavor combinations.  Every single Sunday.  Sometimes it was just your basic chocolate ice cream with regular milk poured over the ice cream (which to this day is still my favorite!) but other times we would add coffee and chocolate syrup.

That is, if we had a coupon for the Hershey’s syrup. 😉

We would sit together on the sofa – my Mom cutting coupons out, and me looking through the Lifestyle section to see who got married and what the bride wore and where the couple was headed for their honeymoon.  Gosh, how I loved doing that.

So, you may be asking what I mixed together to make this?
