Create a Coffee Station for the holidays + a free printable

November 23, 2014 by Kellie

This post is sponsored by Nespresso.

I am honestly chomping at the bit to start decorating for Christmas.  Give me some twinkle lights, the smell of a real Christmas tree, layers of gold and white, along with some rustic flair and maybe a few snacks with peppermint while sipping on a great cup of coffee and I will be heaven.

We are {…so…} close to begin the process of moving into our #newoldmtnhome (as many of you know it by that hashtag.)   I had to just decorate a few things before everything started to pile in.  I was lucky enough to receive this Nespresso Coffee Machine the other day and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.  I had this vision for a while, even before the Nespresso arrived.  Hopefully you’ll find some inspiration to help you create a coffee station for the holidays along with adding the fun free printable that’s down below.

You see my husband & I love coffee.

The thing is, where we will be moving we are miles away from any decent coffee houses.

Create a coffee cart for the holidays
But it was like Christmas morning when this lovely machine arrived.  I wanted to host a celebration right then and there.  Because I knew if I “built a coffee station…guests would come.”

Nespresso Coffee Maker
*This picture* above is epic, I tell you.  This was the very first cup of coffee we brewed in our new old home.  That strong aromatic smell was finally brewing in the house we have labored, sweated, prayed and yes, even cried over.  It was a moment I don’t think I’ll ever forget.  It felt and smelt like home.  Epic.

Nespresso coffee and Milk Frother
As funny as that might sound, it stirred up all sorts of  feelings in me wanting to start entertaining and decorating for the holidays.  You know when you’re so focused on a project, and the end hasn’t been near in months, you forget that days will not be hard forever.  You forget that there’s a world out there enjoying each other’s company.   I haven’t really been entertaining in any aspect for months.  Because everything has been focused on our renovations for this foreclosure.  But all work and no play – is not fun for anyone!  I always have that strong desire to create.  It’s there every day, every week, knocking.  Hoping that today will be the day.

So I had to act on that.  And create.  And set the stage for people to start coming over.  Because hospitality is good for the soul.

And my soul is yearning to feel that good.  I have missed it.

It’s time.

Sequins and Hexagon Garland
It used to really bother me when things weren’t 100% done or finished.  But I’ve realized that, that is how life is.   Focus on what you HAVE done and sure, set goals for future project but celebrate where you are now.

Make festive treats for your coffee cart
Make chocolate marshmallows just because you can to go with your coffee.   Speaking of coffee, Nespresso has a bazillion flavors and strengths of coffee.   Okay maybe not a bazillion but many.  They even have a coffee club where you can go online and they’ll deliver them right to your home.

Make a Festive Coffee Station or Cart for the Holidays
Pull out the gold glitter, your scraps of trim, your clearance candy canes you bought in January that you’ve been saving and get ready.  Make your friends a strong cup of coffee and they’ll love you forever.  Celebrate the weekend or host a “drop by brunch” on a Saturday.  I don’t want to sound like all of that is easy, because it’s not.  Everything takes effort.  But if you plan and aim for the simple it will go over so well.

Make a festive coffee cart
Make it easy on yourself.  Before we purchased the foreclosure, you know, when everything was normal we always had a stack of the paper coffee cups with the lids just in case we had visitors stop by.

Guess what???  I bought another pack of those &  it felt good.

I’m ready.

Nespresso Coffee Bar Cart
If you do set up a coffee station in your home, the fun thing is your guests can take care of themselves.

And you can wow them with your Milk Frother.  Y’all it’s incredible.  Seriously.

Nepresso Coffee Machine and Milk Frother
And just set your coffee station up and stock it with supplies and relax and enjoy your guests.

Nepresso is currently having a 25% off sale on all of their coffee machines, but it’s only through tomorrow.  Perfect for entertaining during the holidays.

Make a festive coffee cart station for the holidays and your guests. Plus a free printable in black and gold!

My gal Stephanie Lynn at Designs by Specs created this printable for me and we thought it would be fun to offer it as a free printable as well!  Give the widget boxes time to load.  There’s a 8×10 & a 11×14.  All in black & gold fonts delicious fonts.  😉

Here’s the 11×14:
