Our Christmas Bedroom - Nest of Posies

C’mon in & welcome to our Christmas bedroom. Are you sleepy? Do you need a nap? I have the perfect place for you to snuggle in and take a long Winter’s nap.

As much as I love & adore bright & white spaces, our bedroom is basically the opposite. My husband works all the shifts at work. In fact, he’s usually “on call” 24/7 several months out of the year. So when we moved into our home, he had a few requests. One of them was to have a dark-ish bedroom. Since he sleeps during the day, mostly, and to have nice bedding. So that’s been my goal all along while decorating our bedroom.

Random fact: ~ our bedroom used to be the garage! It is huge & I love it.

It’s a good thing, we have a good size room, because we share this room with ahem…our big girl, Brie. Yep, she sleeps on the bed with us. But we do have her crate in here as well. She’s truly is a gently giant, and as I always say – she is the gift that keeps on giving.

All of the walls are painted white, other than the main focal wall. We have darker furniture, and I love our white bedding against the dark wood. Adding our Christmas plaid bedding for the season sure does give this room a fun pop of color. Which I happen to love.

This year, I added the garland to our headboard and it makes the room so warm, cozy and yes, even romantic. I also added a mini tree in the corner, that I set on a timer. Both of them add to the fun of our Christmas bedroom.

Our room is a mix of old and new furniture, things we love…and things we may want to switch out one day. But the best part of it is that it’s ours, and I love seeing it all decked out for Christmas.
