Affordable Family Friendly Beach Vacation

Let’s go ahead and talk about the obvious.  The view, the beach and the pool.

If you’re not familiar where PCB is in Florida, it’s located on the Gulf of Mexico side.  Specifically along what they call the Emerald Coast line.  It is simply gorgeous.  Sugar white sands, the prettiest shade of blue clear ocean water, and a coast line that cannot be compared to any other beach in the US.  Yes, it’s a large hotel, but everything they do is geared towards the entire family.  Young kids, big kids, teens, parents and senior citizens love this place.

One of my favorite parts when booking a trip there – or even in the middle of Winter is to look at their LIVE CAMS.  They have a live beach, pool, escape deck & sunset cam!!!

Go ahead.

I dare ya…watching the live cams will make you want to book immediately.

But it also gives you a feel & vibe for just how family friendly the hotel is!

If you’re searching for an affordable family friendly beach vacation the Holiday Inn Resort is for you.  They have all the amenities that you want when it comes to hotel service. But it’s the experience and the memories of staying there, that are truly the greatest amenities when you leave.

My husband would say it’s the convenience and the relaxation that he most enjoys.  Everything is right here on the property.  You do not have to leave to eat, search for entertainment for the kids, or go out to eat every night.  They have it all.  A full breakfast buffet that includes homemade omelettes, a waffle bar and all the fruit & coffee you want to eat & drink.  For lunch they have their own on-site pizza tiki hut, chicken wings, nachos, burgers, beautiful salads – you name it.  There’s also a nice restaurant on-site + several order up food & bar areas.  I mean what more could you ask for?

Which leads me to what to pack & bring.

There’s several options you can do while on-property.  If you wanted to go out & eat in PCB – that’s great too.  There’s amazing restaurants all over the area.  But remember everything is super casual.  We’ve been to the Holiday Inn Resort several times, and each time we enjoy it more & more.  But the truth… we stay in our bathing suits almost the entire day while we are here.  Sure, I  pack shorts, sundresses but 90% of the time we’re all in our bathing suits/coverups/hats and that’s about it!  We rarely leave the property.  So swimsuits are what’s taking up most of the room in our suitcase, just to be honest.  We each come with about 4 suits + t-shirts or coverups to wear.  It’s super casual, and that’s what we love about it.

As if the gorgeous beach & pool weren’t enough…lets talk about entertainment.

I feel I could talk non-stop about the Holiday Inn Resort and how it’s an affordable family friendly beach vacation spot.  Every evening during the Summer, they have a Dive-Inn (family-friendly) movies around the pool.  They also have a fantastic Polynesian Dance and Fire Show that guests can even join in on the fun.  During the day they have fun sing-a-longs for the kids to dance to.  They also have a fantastic Splash Pad called Aqualand that all the kids enjoy – no matter what they’re age.

Last year, the entire Panama City Beach + surrounding areas were devastated by Hurricane Michael.  The Holiday Inn Resort just had it’s grand re-opening on May 15th!  They’ve remodeled many of the rooms, updated the lobby, our favorite (on-site) breakfast restaurant, and many other areas.  Below is a quote from their site:

We are so excited for our trip, and we cannot wait to see the newly remodeled hotel, and spend our vacation there.  We are looking forward to all the new experiences, plus doing some of our favorites.  The best part is all the new memories we get to make along the way at one of our family’s favorite vacation spots.
