How to Host a Holiday Wreath Making Party

November 25, 2019 by Kellie

How to host a holiday wreath making party.  Hopefully, it sounds pretty simple, because it really really is.  Plus, it’s a great excuse to have a girls night “in” before all the madness of the Christmas season begins.  First, let me say – it will come together so quickly with the help of the internet!  Specifically Amazon prime + creating a private event on FB to invite all your friends to join the party!

First off, gather your friends!  For this post sake, I’m trying to respect my friends’ privacy by not showing faces.  But let’s go ahead and say – everyone will have a good time!  I promise they will.  Even you as the host!  Don’t be intimated, even if you aren’t the craftiest person!  It will all come together.

The hardest part for me was getting our home cleaned and ready.  LOL – Truth be told.  We’ve been busy, but hasn’t everyone? And my home was a complete mess!  Please don’t let that be an excuse to open up your home to friendship & laughter.  I’ve used that excuse far too many times, and I’m always so happy when I decide to ignore that inner voice  saying…”but” your house isn’t clean.  “But” you haven’t finished painting, “but” you haven’t cleaned your oven or your cabinets aren’t organized.  Forget the all the “butts” and just go for it!

I’ve hosted this party twice now, and of course I learned from the first one.  I decided to keep the choices minimal and order these fun “golden ring” hoop wreaths from Amazon in bulk – that were on PRIME.  They come in packs of 10 – so order accordingly.

I offered two choices of ribbon, I also saved money by gathering fresh cedar clippings and pinecones from our yard.  It really was easy to throw together – supply wise.

  • pine cones (from your yard or side of the road)

Of course, you could ask your friends to help pay for the supplies.  But if you order the wreath forms in bulk, and gather most of your greenery from your yard you’ll be able to keep your costs down.  I  also purchased the ribbon and berries picks on a 50% off sale at Michael’s.  I used the 40% off coupon on the seeded eucalyptus from Hobby Lobby.

For me personally, it’s just a matter of preference.  Below you’ll find an “example” of my invite.  I supply the drinks and supplies, and I ask my friends to bring their favorite dip or appetizer.  You’ll be amazed by what people will bring.  The food was over the top delicious.  The main tip I can give on How to Host a Holiday Wreath Making Party – is to plan it as early as possible.  Your friends will have less commitments, and everyone will not feel as stressed AND it will get everyone in the holiday spirit.  Or at least that’s how I  like to look at it.

Below is an example of my invitation, I thought I share just so you could see it.  I also included 2 printable templates that you can download and add your own details and use as your own invitation if you’d like.  For reference I used the font Times Roman Italic and the Oklahoma font.   How to Host a Holiday Wreath Making Party

All you’ll need to do is download the template and upload it to your favorite photo editor site & add your own specific info.
Once you’re finished adding your own info, you can use it for your own invite or add it to your private FB event.
