My Target Basket Decorated for Christmas

November 27, 2019 by Kellie

So, I caved.  I saw it on the shelf and I immediately snatched it before anyone around could beat me to it.  I  finally found THE Target Hanging basket.  So I thought I’d share what I did to My Target Basket decorated for Christmas.

If you aren’t sure what in the world, I’m talking about, I promise it’s okay.  This Target basket is so fun!  It’s flat on one side so you can hang it anywhere you’d like.  They’ve been sold out everywhere, but Target finally got smart enough and ordered some more.  So you basically could say, I acted like an idiot when I finally spotted it in the store!  LOL!

I got out some new stuff and old, and things from the yard.  Because recycling from my yard is my favorite thing to do!  I knew immediately I wanted to put a little mini wreath on My Target Basket decorated for Christmas.  Because I  knew Christmas basically calls for all the wreaths on all the things, am I right?

I also reused brown grocery store bags to stuff it, and give my greenery some extra height and definition.  In my opinion, adding some sort of stuffing to it, is a must.  I’ve seen these decorated beautifully, but the only thing that was missing is the stuffing to give the elements height.  So stuff it like you do a Thanksgiving turkey!  😉

It’s for sure an indoor item, or at least to me it is.  I tried putting it on my front door, but I was too scared the rain and Winter weather would ruin it.  After thinking about it for a while, I discovered the perfect place for my Target basket decorated for Christmas to hang in our home.

It really is the perfect layering pieces.  It offers texture and cozyness to a room instantly.  I placed it on our side family room door, and I absolutely love it there.

Our girl, Brie was not too sure of it when I hung it up.  This side door is her main door that she goes out to do her business.  If you know what I mean.  Do you see the gray long strap hanging from the door handle?  That’s her “potty bell”  she rings it with her paw when she has to or wants to go outside.  So to add something to “her” door was quite comical to say the least.  🙂

But I think it’s a perfect fit for this room right now.  Who would’ve thought a hanging basket could cause such a ruckus, but also bring such a cozy vibe to our big open room?

If you are lucky enough to find one – snatch it up!  I think of it as another version of a wreath.  It’s going to be so fun to decorate it for all the seasons.
