homemade & homegrown Christmas mantel

December 7, 2011 by Kellie

I do believe I could declare my mantel to be organic, homemade & homegrown.
It’s simple, very little fuss & was extremely easy to pull together.  But let me just say, it has my name & love of color written all over it.

I ordered the wool felt balls from here.  Strung them together, grabbed some trimmings from our tree & yard & I’m calling it d.o.n.e.  Or at least my schedule right now is calling it done.  I’ve also decided to not put up the Christmas stockings…yet.  It’s just too tempting for 2 certain members of the family.  And I get tired of saying “no” all the live long day.
“Buck” just so everybody knows is made out of teak wood.   I got him last year at a salvage yard, broken.  My husband & I put him back together & he has proudly hung in his spot ever since.

I loveth him.
