easy & simple round up ideas for Halloween

October 27, 2011 by Kellie

It happens every year on the days leading up to Halloween.  I get lost in all the celebration & festivities.  There’s so much fun & excitement going on over here, that I don’t want to miss a second.  My oldest is having half days at school for the rest of this week, so I turned to pinterest for some ideas on what we could do for the next few days.  These are some real, easy & extremely kid friendly ideas…(which is right up my alley. 😉

If you don’t have time to carve some pumpkins, just set some out in clusters with some flame free candles.  easy peasy.

Or if you do have time to carve, here’s some cute* simple* templates.

2 years ago when the twins were 1, & I barely had time to go potty by myself (still don’t, btw…) I broke out my husband’s drill to do the same BOO below.  It was done in 10 minutes.  So easy.

These teeth are at the dollar store.  omword – I love this idea!

Or, if you’re up to it – you could always throw some craft paper on a picnic table, have the neighborhood kids over, have everyone bring their own drinks, carve pumpkins & see who can gets the messiest…;)
*obviously, it doesn’t have to be this extravagant, but you get the idea.*

And for those neighborhood kids or just your own, why not serve them up some brains in a jar?  Yes, I am crazy in love with this brilliant idea. (free printables too!)

Have the kids make these this weekend.  Just break open a glow stick & presto…

Do you need FREE Halloween printables for another idea?  Check these out:

And for us, busy, crazy, just trying to keep up moms – I do this every year.  It’s the old Estee Lauder cosmetic counter girl in me.  I can’t help it.

Falsies & glitter.  Easy & fun for a mom on the run.  HA!

Alrighty, I’m signing off for the next couple of days.  I know for sure, I’ll be doing one of two things, or both things…carving pumpkins and/or eating something with pumpkin in it.  I swear, my pours are smelling like pumpkin & chocolate.

Pumpkin Perfume, anyone???

p.s.  if there’s anyone left out there that’s not on pinterest, I’ve got some invites to give out.  email me & I’ll send you one.  nestofposies@gmail.com
