they did it again…I got weak in the knees

March 6, 2011 by Kellie

Dear Pottery Barn,
You know how to put together an outdoor room like nobody’s business.  I got weak in the knees looking at the catalog & had to ask for a moment of silence from the kids.  Because my head was spinning.
The kids did give me just a moment.
During that moment I dreamed that I was sitting on a rockers sipping on sweet tea & that my hair was calm & not one big humid curly mess.  While I’m at it…I also visioned every pot was full of flowers & the air was a sweet lavender scent.
Thanks for giving me that moment.

always a dreamer of front porch sitting.
On a related note, I ordered a trailer full of fresh mulch for my birthday.
Yep, you read correctly.  Mulch.
You see, my friend Kerry started this crazy admiration I have for yards with fresh mulch.  It has now become a sickness, thanks to her.  😉  It makes the flowers pop & my heart happy to know I have fresh dark brown hardwood mulch in my flower beds.  It also means that Spring has arrived when my mulch has arrived.  I can’t wait until Monday.
I also ordered a new tunic for my birthday.  This is another serious admiration I have…colorful tunics.  Since we are on the subject of me, admitting my weaknesses.
Finally, I wanted to say Thank You for all the bday wishes, they ALL truly made me smile.  I was/am so behind on commenting back from the Spring Fling.  I usually have a very boring mommy life that just centers around my kids.  But this last week was filled to the brim with tons of responsibilities that I don’t normally have. Hopefully, after Tuesday my life will return to it’s boring self & I will be ahead of the game for week 2 of Spring Fling.   So many apologies!
With all that said…highlights from week 1 of the Spring Fling will be up soon!
Hello! I’m so glad you’re here & reading my posts! I’ve started truncating my posts, so please click over to read the rest of the story!
THANK YOU!

Great post … the creators at PB just have this “way,” don’t they? I had fun in there the other day. I know your outside space is just as beautiful. Becca
