Outdoor Living - Nest of Posies

We are hoping to add a picket fence on the side of our house in the next few weeks. I’m calling it my Mother’s Day/Summer gift. We or I should say I am hoping it will add some “cute curb appeal”, but most importantly it will keep the kids safe and sound once the twins start walking., Along the way I have found some outdoor *necessities* that I would love to have, and thought it would be fun to share on this post. Perhaps, one item at a time…whatdoya say, Chief???

I’ve always have loved dining alfresco and this sassy pink flamingo umbrella would look perfect with the table-scape above. Isn’t it just the cutest umbrella youv’e seen? I can see it all under our big oak tree just inside the picket fence area. Have I mentioned I am a great visionary?

picket fence = country living

This is kindof the idea we are going for, but with a few adjustments. We have a very simple, old, white house. So this photo is similar with the scale and size of our house, so it makes me really see it in my mind.

Here are the few necessities I’ve found along the way. The hanging lounger…I don’t think we could do, but I am in-love with it and the idea of it. The sandbox, what every yard with kids needs. Would you believe it is from eBay?!? I love this picket fence style, but will take any look. And of course we need some sprinkler fun to top off the area! How fun is this sprinkler beach ball???

I’ll post some before and after photos once we get it started. Can’t wait for it to begin, I can vision a whole lot of *other* goodies, plants, & flowers to go along with this project, but wouldn’t want to bore you all and overwhelm the Chief. We gotta take it one step at a time around here. 😉
