It is still my home away from home. There is nothing that can describe how my heart feels every time I get to return to California. It is where I was born & raised. Right now, I am thinking of that incredible state. All the people, homes, & land that is being destroyed by fires. My heart is heavy for all areas that are being destroyed by flames.
I have two Aunties & uncles, along with cousins that live in California. Not to mention numerous friends from high school & college still living in California. As for now, all family members are safe. I know as of today the winds have died down, cooler temperatures are on their way, and everyone has high hopes that the fires will end shortly. I pray they will.
My dear cousin, Maegan is writing about the fires here. Luckily for us, all member are safe. But are witnessing, smelling, and breathing the fire, smoke, & ashes. I pray for hard rain for California. It is what they need. Thank you dear Lord, for keeping my family safe. I pray these fires will end soon.
